• Co-developed and managed the west coast Transaction Advisory Services practice at Andersen. This group provided comprehensive Merger & Acquisition services to both financial and strategic buyers and sellers, including:
• pre-transaction diligence including synergies and integration analysis
• subsequent merger integration planning and management
• involvement with negotiation strategies and detail documentation matters.
• One of three partners with global service line responsibility.
• Served as Deputy Worldwide Director of the Andersen international real estate practice. Established a dedicated transactional consulting practice serving the needs of primarily real estate related industry clients, including operations with substantial real estate elements such as hospitality and long-term healthcare. Clients included real estate investors such as “Wall Street” firms and other financial institutions as well as operators.
• Established a distressed and performing loan portfolio transactions practice with private sector clients providing sell side services related to pre sale diligence and preparation, sale management and, for the buy side, loan and collateral diligence, asset management and securitization
• Served as the external auditor for a number of companies in the real estate, high tech, manufacturing and services sectors.
• Experienced in providing support to clients in connection with actual or potential litigation or with a view to the avoidance of such litigation
• Developed expertise in securitization, syndication, real estate partnership, joint venture, leasing and other forms of financial transactions
• Has been a frequent speaker on the interrelationship of acquisition, diligence and integration planning, execution and management and distressed loan and real property acquisition and management
• Squire has served as a Board or Strategic Advisory Board member of several entities.

Squire started his professional career in 1972 in the Boston office of Andersen, became a partner in 1982 and relocated to their Los Angeles office in 1989.

He is licensed as a CPA in California and earned BS and MBA degrees, each with honors, from Cornell University.
